I was reading about Lion's (or rather Preview in Lion's) ability to create a digital signature by scanning an image of it through an iSight or other form of webcam.
However, I don't have a webcam, so I'm wondering, is it possible to somehow do this using just a static image, for example if I were to take one with my digital camera, or trick OS X into thinking it has a webcam that's just sending the same image continuously?
If not, are there any other good signature scanning options out there that could take a picture of signature and convert it into say an EPS file for easy, clean inclusion into a document?
It's a bit annoying for a feature to rely on a webcam, when there are plenty of Mac Mini and Mac Pro users out there that aren't going to have a webcam, but may have a perfectly useful digital camera.
