Create Direct Stream link via Quicktime?

Hello,

I have come across several sites that provide direct stream links to quicktime videos. I would like to do the same on my website, but I cannot figure out how. I have Quicktime Pro, but I don't see an option to do this. Am I missing something? Do I use quicktime to do this, or is it another application? I would assume it's Quicktime just because it is a quicktime video, but I am at a loss for how to achieve this. I would appreciate any help that you all could give me.
