Have been offered some unpaid work to film a tribute concert / comp for MJ - 'Nav' a impersonator of MJ who performed at his birthday will be performing.

The woman has said i can produce a dvd and then i get a % per sale of the dvd.

Ideally id want to sell myself, sell the license to other retailers - what issues must i address ?

Using MJs image?
Using MJs music (recorded at the venue through the camera VS using original track dubbed over - any dif?)
Using Nav - lead artiste (would need him to sign something?)

its this sunday so not much time, thinking i film it and sort out other stuff after?

If you plan to make money out of some one else's IP you should have a licence agreement (may cost $$$) with the copyright holder of all images and any music used in your DVD, this would be with the original artist as well as the performer.

With images you may also have to get permission of the photographer, with the music you need to talk to the publisher and record company.
