Does anyone know of any Mac OSX apps that allow you to create and/or resize partitions on the fly like Partition Magic or Partition Wizard for Windows?

Since Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Disk Utility can do that, if there is enough free space and no files in the sectors you want to use for another partition.

Links to guides on how to use Disk Utility, the application Mac OS X provides for managing internal and external HDD/SSDs and its formats.

Disk Utility -- it's in your utilities folder, but it does this only with Mac Formatted disks. I do not believe it will work for FAT or NTFS file systems.

See? This is what happens when tech support gives you the wrong info. I had asked an Apple tech (on the phone) whether it was possible to do this and he simply said "No". It surprised me since Windows can do it. I thought OSX would be able to do it also.

EDIT: thank you!!!
