So I've created a custom search script for firefox (so I can search another database - by default firefox comes with searching for Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Wiki, etc - it's on the top right corner).

Where do I add my .xml file so I can use the search script I have?

1. right click your firefox.app and choose "show content", copy your engine XML to firefox.app\contents\MacOS\SearchPlugins

2. http://mycroft.mozdev.org/ offers 1000+ search engines if you like :)

3. many website offers search engine for firefox as well, whenever they do, you can find the search field triangle of firefox surrounded by a blue cloud.
