Created link to folder icon messed up!

Hi I used used ln -s cmd to create a link to a folder. This on latest Yosemite on macbook pro mid 2014.

The cmd worked excepting the icon is that of unknown file type and not the folder icon it should have.

So I tried copying and pasting icon using file info but the icon doesn't wanna change

What is wrong here? Kindly assist Thanks!
