I attempted to create a disk image of a certain volume by using Disk Utility but it failed. It gave this message:
My disk configuration is
Container disk1, APFS Container contains 2 volumes...
"D" APFS Volume • APFS
"E" APFS Volume • APFS (Encrypted)
When i try to make disk image of D it fails.
When i try to make disk image of E it is successful.
I create the disk image file on an external USB hard drive with plenty of space.
I ran First Aid, and it gave this same message for the Container and for D and E:
Since a disk image of E works ok, i don't think that message indicates my problem.
Any ideas?
I used to do this operation when i had Big Sur and it was successful. But now with Monterey it fails.Operation failed with status 45: Operation not supported
