I would like to consolidate my two drives (SSD + HD) in my macbook pro 2011 into a fusion drive. I see online that fusion drive created using the methods seen for 10.8 have had issues when used in 10.9.

What is the gold standard / future proof way of creating a fusion drive for Mavericks and beyond? Easiest way possible?

Thanks,
Paul

I was considering doing this but I don't think it's good yet... hopefully it will be. I wonder if it's even worth it...

Install system, all apps, and critical files on SSD... and put everything else on HDD.... is how I'll do it... I just haven't decided which SSD to get.

so glad i came across this to remind me.... My home made fusion drive on my iMac has been working flawlessly since I set it up over a year ago, I pretty much had forgotten it wasn't a single drive...I was about to upgrade to Mavericks on it tonight, need to do some more research now. Thanks!
