Hi people,

I am not sure whether this is the right place to ask, but here goes --

I'm looking for a (free) software that can take a series of still images (eps/pdf files) and strings them together to create a movie. Is there such an application? The use I had in mind is to create an animation from a series of plots generated by matlab/gnuplot.

Thanks,
Am.

Quicktime pro does this, but it's not free.

The $80 Toast 8 Suite Includes "Motion Pictures HD" App or The $50 "Photo To Movie"

You need to convert them to jpegs for video with Photoshop or iPhoto. Then put them into Toast 8's Motion Pictures HD for creation. Why does the software have to be free? Whatever happend to paying for something of value?

OR

Photo to Movie for $50 is another way to author movies from stills.

Thanks for the information. As for the 'free' issue -- I'm using a university machine, and it's not likely that they'll be willing to pay for the software.
