Hey guys, we are trying to create a dmg that can be cloned to new machines for quick and easy deployment. My main question is: when snow leopard is installed, is every file that is needed for every mac installed, or does the installer detect the specific model and install machine-specific system files, kexts, drivers, etc...? Here's what i want to do: I want to do a fresh install on a macbook pro, install standard software, etc.., and then wipe out the serial numbers for all software, and create a dmg. Then, I can just clone this image to a new machine, fire up all the apps and enter valid license keys, and voila, quick, consistent deployment so i dont have to spend all day setting up each machine.
thanks in advance for any help
