Creating a Samba shared folder from a Time Capsule attached HDD

Hi guys, I've been struggling to set this up properly, I am just wondering if it's possible:

Time Capsule --> HDD --> Samba share of one of the folders on the HDD

Sorry if this is blindly obvious but I just can't seem to do it. When I go to the sharing option in SysPref it just has them greyed out :confused:
