Creating a WiFi Network from iMac to Apple TV

Hi All,

I recently bought an iMac and even more recently got Apple TV.

I only use a USB modem and do not have broadband internet nor a router.

I've tried through system preferences to create an Ad Hoc Network with out success.

I was lead to believe that I could create a WiFi network on the iMac without internet? Can anyone please offer any suggestions?

Can you do this:

SETTING UP A WIFI NETWORK FOR MAC AND PC?

If the above works, don't forget to enable all the Sharing thingies you need to in order to have the Apple TV access the iMac's files.
