Hey all,
I just had a quick question that a google search didn't really concretely answer for me.
Every summer, I spend a little time out with my family at the cottage. We have no internet there, and my younger brother and I sometimes like to play with/against each other on games in the evenings.
I was wondering if the iPhone 4 is capable of creating an "Ad hoc" wireless network that we could both join with our laptops. For some reason, his laptop is incapable of connecting to the ad hoc network that my own laptop creates, and and I can't connect to his, so I was wondering if we could throw the iPhone in there as a intermediate device between the two.
I know the iphone can create a wireless hotspot using an internet connection that it has (such as through 3g), but can it also create a plain old standalone Ad Hoc wifi network that would be discoverable by both our laptops?
Thanks a ton in advance,
A.
