Creating an automatic game-specific App store update list

Hi guys,

I'd like to let PocketGamer readers know the second new game Apps turn up on the App store, as well as when prices are dropped, as per the more general App update sites mentioned in this ArsTechnica review.

Before we go off and reinvent the wheel, is there any easy way to get this info from the App store (via an API or similar?) that I don't know about, or do we have to build our own App Store scraper?

I'm aware this may be a dumb question from a word-not-tech guy; would appreciate any insights at all. :)
