So I am on verizon and my brother and I are going to be making the switch. We did not preorder an and therefor will be camping out at the apple store in bridgewater, NJ wednesday night to make sure we get one. I was talking to an apple rep. and he said to set up my att account before we go and just not buy a phone.

Now I'm worried about this because what happens if we set up the account sat on tuesday and we don't get any of the iphones that they have in stock? we will be stuck paying for att's service until we find a store that has iphones in stock.

So my question is this, is there a way that we could... cancel our att service if it's within like 2 days? if we don't get the iphones on launch day. Any advice?

Also we are trying to get the referral 25 dollar program to work too and think it would be a hassle through apple?
