Creating DVD Slide show Help

Hello,

I am attempting to create a DVD slide show that will have a static background. I need to have various company logos fade in and out like a slide show but this will occur over a static background.

I am not sure what program will work best to achieve this goal. I have Adobe CS3. I am semi proficient with photoshop but thats about it.

Any help will be appreciated and if I didn't explain it well just tell me so I can elaborate if need be.

Will Powerpoint or Keynote be able to do this?
