Creating User IDs

Help!

I am trying to create user ids for my children so that I can enact parental controls. I created the IDs, but when I log on as the new user, several programs are missing and appear as "?" on the dock, when I scroll over the "?" the name of the ap that can't be accessed is there.

This happens before I try to do anything with parental controls

I'd appreciate help!!!

I'm not entirely sure if this is the problem, but sounds similar to an issue I experienced a while back.

You might try assigning user permissions manually for those few programs that are giving you hassles.

1. Log into your admin account
2. In the Applications folder, highlight the application you want to change.
3. Click command+I apple: key+I), or alternatively, right-click>Get Info.
4. At the bottom of the app info pane is a section on sharing and permissions.
5. Check to see if the new users have privileges to access the app. If they don't, change those settings.
