Creating your own input method

Hi, I was trying to follow the guide in finder called "creating your own input method". I followed it exactly and use their test file code to see if it works. but well, since i m posting here, I failed to get it to work.. haha. any help would be great.

I have a mbp running 10.5

any help would be great. o and i want to do this so it's easier to type chinese.

Have you tried using OpenVanilla? It looks like it would be easier to manage.
