"Creative Wins "Best of CES" Award 3 Years in a Row!

For the third year running, Creative wins the prestigious Best of CES Award, this time for the Zen Micro Photo in the 'Audio to Go' category. This prestigious award recognizes and honors the most outstanding new consumer technology products that debuted at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show.

The Zen Micro Photo steals the show with its ability to hold up to 7,500 images or 3,000 songs on the 6GB model. With its high-intensity, 1.5 inch OLED screen that captures 262,144 colors, now you can watch and share slideshows of family photos with your favorite music playing in the background."

**4 minutes per song at 64kbps

Well, Apple didn't even showcase anything at CES, so there you go.

I don't know about the past 2 years though, creative winning 3 years in a row? Man, Apple must not have shown anything.

These types of shows tend to focus more on things that are "cool and new" instead of rock solid and dependable. Apple knows they are the king of the hill and they don't need some trade show to tell them that. Their sales tell people for them ;) Granted, Creative Labs does make some outstanding PC components and their portable audio products are very good, they still cannot compete with the performance and simplicity of Apple products. This is, of course, all just my opinion :p

We're talking about an award from G4TechTV. C'mon. They kiss Creatives a**.

I disagree, the Zen micro, although a late player to the game, is considerably BETTER than the iPod mini. If you ever used a Zen micro, or even just listened to one, you'd know thats true.

The Zen micro has a heft of added features. Quicker charge - longer lasting REPLACEABLE battery, Lighter, Glowing case, 5 extra colors, 'DJ', Mass storage function, FM Tuner and recorder, higher cap. and now even capability to view photos on a stunning screen.

With campaigns like 'no more going round in circles', Apple has to choose its steps more carefully, because Creative could blow the Mini outta the water.

Honestly you gotta give Creative some credit. There's not really too much origininality there, but there really isn't ANY in this industry anymore... just slow progression. But they did it before Apple on this one.

And the Micro ain't too bad of a player either...
