About 3 weeks ago I came across an article for the earbuds listed in the title; I scratched my head wondering why I hadn't heard of them (as I'd been searching for a week or two for 'the best' earbuds.)

Turns out it was because they were not yet released, but were being pre-reviewed, and were supposedly 'the best earbuds aside from AirPods and Galaxy buds' (or whatever they're called). I thought that was a tall order, but pre-ordered a pair. (They cost $79, I believe.)

I've had them for about a week now, and I have to say they're absolutely fantastic. The case is a bit bulkier than some others, as are the earbuds themselves, but considering the earbuds have a 10-hour battery life (I've actually tested this - I got just short of 10 hours), I'm totally fine with that. I've had them in as long as 3 hours, and they've been ridiculously comfortable. They charge very fast, and the case itself is good for another 2 full charges, I believe. The sound quality is 'as good as AirPods'- I'm not sure about that (as I've never owned AirPods) but other sites have said much the same. Not quite as bass-heavy as Powerbeats Pro, but as someone who enjoys metal, rap, R&B, etc, they're more than adequate.

In any event, I HIGHLY recommend them. Not as pretty as AirPods but nowhere near as expensive, and I've been very impressed and satisfied.

I ordered a set for $74.99. I have Airpods 2 (and had Airpods 1) and love them but want something a little more secure for working out etc. For $75 you can't go wrong, even if I throw them in a drawer as backup.

Exactly. I've got other earbuds that are cheaper than these, but the Outlier Airs blow them all out of the water.
