Hi

Whenever I run the Adobe updater, it says the following:

Checking for updates for your products
'A new version of Adobe updater is available - click OK to download'
Installing Stock Photo Certificate Update
Stock Photo Certificate Update failed to install
Checking for updates for your products

Installing Stock Photo Certificate Update

and the whole thing loops - any ideas? thanks :)

Same here, got it resolved

Apparently the Updater is a sensitive little beast. A few general ideas:

• Install CS3 after a safe boot (shift key down on startup)
It can react to stuff that's previously been installed, even on a fresh system.

• Run the "Uninstall Stock Photos" updater - download it from the Adobe website. They're gonna discontinue Stock Photos anyway.

• Run the Illustrator updaters downloaded from the website before running the updater from any app's Help menu.

Here's what I ended up having to do...

1. Start in Safe Boot
2. Uninstall Illustrator from the DVD
3. Re-Install Illustrator ""
4. Run the 13.0.1 Updater, downloaded from the website
5. Run the 13.0.2 Updater, ""
6. Run the "Uninstall Stock Photos" updater, ""
7. Start up Illustrator and run the Updater from the Help menu.
Note - the Camera Raw updater will ask you to close Illustrator - don't worry, it's not the Illustrator updater undoing your 13.0.2 update.

Good luck, hope this helps

I wouldn't worry about the StockPhoto stuff, the service is being cancelled on April 1st

Don't Worry? IT's the problem

You missed the point entirely. Reread the thread.

The Stock Photo Certificate was blocking the updater, and the workaround, from Adobe, was to run the Stock Photos uninstaller.
