Perhaps in a last desperate move to increase sales Creative is reported almost chopping their prices in half.

If they still have a healthy profit margin I say they´ve over-priced their players in the past. Or perhaps they´ve turned to child labour?

Even with the price cuts, I doubt child-labourers would be able to afford an MP3 player.

The joke was that the child labourers were making the Mp3 players. Well I have to say this is impressive (let's not get fanboyish over things now :p) and more people are going to buy this now. Hmm... but they're going to have to sell a hell-of-a-lot more to cope with the drop in profit per unit sold.

I'm not sure if I'm correct, but it seems to me that a lot of people don't understand that there are products that act similarly to an iPod but aren't actually iPods. In fact, a lot of (idiots) I know think that the iPod is the mp3 player.

So...
even though Creative has such low prices now, I'm not sure too many people will bite.
