Credit Card charged but later delivery?

First things first ... I am aware my phone will arrive when it does.

But I did have an observation.
My phone is slated for a Sept 27-29th delivery. Just two hours ago my credit card was billed and my order went from "processing" to "preparing for shipment." I don't know how long things stay in this "preparing for shipment" limbo ... however I thought I was not charged until my phone actually ships. Could I be expecting a phone tomorrow, or Monday?

Last year my Apple watch was charged the night before with prepping for shipment and it didn't change until the watch was out for delivery so you have a good chance of it being delivered tomorrow! Congrats!

I will take that penny. Your card is charged just before it ships. They would not ship and then charge as some might get declined. I have done this many times and by tomorrow you will have a tracking number.

I suspect the shipping date will also be moved up!

My phone shipped yesterday and is due on the 21st. I was originally quoted a Sept 27-29 delivery, so I was bumped up about a week.
Matte black 128GB.

Now my fingers are crossed I don't get a phone with any screen brightness defects or hissing noises...

My card was charged and I would say approximately 10 hours later I saw an email telling me that my phone shipped. This was from Verizon.

Congrats! It's actually more difficult waiting for the phone now that I know it's shipped. Go figure!

Ok, so my phone shipped on Sunday, and today (Tuesday) it is only in Korea?! I expected it to be in Alaska, of Kentucky right now. Maybe even in the bay area. Delivery was bumped back from the 21st to the 22nd. Still well ahead of the projected 27-29th, but this is killing me
