Dear ******,

I understand are wondering if you have to use a credit card to purchase the iPhone software update. I know that must be confusing, and I am happy to help.

There is a Canadian tax law which prohibits the purchase of software online with gift cards. For this reason, your credit card would be charged charged for the software purchases instead of your store credit.

You can review your Purchase History to see a list of items you've purchased from the iTunes Store. Check out this article for instructions:

I hope this information is helpful. Thank you, ******, and have a great day.

Thats strange because I bought the January Software Update using an iTunes card through the Canadian iTunes Store.

Any Canadian lawyers out there who can clarify this for us?
