I live in south Jersey - my phone arrived in Philadelphia late last night - should have 2 iphone 4s here sometime today

my credit card had 6 charges on it when I checked out originally - 300+ for one, 200+ for the other, 2 x $1 charges, and 2 x $0.00 charges

they all disappeared from my bank account on Monday (maybe even Friday) and nothing has come back since, but the phones should be here today

Free phones? :D

When you process a credit card you can do an AUTH-CAPTURE, which means you authorize the card and capture the funds immediately. You can also do an AUTH, and you get a result back that allows you to CAPTURE that amount later. You generally have 30 days to CAPTURE the amount.

well i guess i'm also wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or if this is a mistake - i'm assuming itll eventually get picked up by att

Ditto all around. I fully expect to see the charge hit my account before the weekend. All the same charges - first phone, second phone, a buck here, another buck there, another buck for the hell of it. No doubt, AT&T will collect their debt.

Just make sure the funds are available when it withdraws.. or you will be slammed with that overdraft fee..
