Cricket iPhone 5 problem! Please help

I am having a Cricket iPhone 5 activated and using in US. I'm going to oversea next week and I heard that iPhone 5 from Cricket is internationally unlocked (can't use GSM in US but be able to use GSM around the world). Is this true? and how do I know for sure my phone is internationally unlocked?

Please help. Cricket reps didn't help much with this kind of problem :(
