Crisis! Is my telephone unlocked?

Hello! I just bought an iPhone 4 from Apple store NY, and im from Norway.

So i paid 706.60 for the unlocked version.
I spoke to 1 person and he took me to the "personal setup" tables and a different guy helped me there, so i dont know if he unlocked it, because it says in Settings - General - About; Carrier AT&T

I really appreciate som help right now, beacuse im leaving New York 10 AM tomorrow :S

Go the the Apple store on 5th and have them verify it for you (they are open 24/7) or find a friend with a non-ATT micro SIM to test.

I just called them, and they said that it is unlocked.. It did'nt say AT&T on the back of the box.

They also said that it stood AT&T in the Carrier from the dummy-sim that they use in the store.. It makes sense, but IMO it's ridiculous and confusing that it still says AT&T in the carrier spot..

And there's nothing on the back on the box about "unlocked version" or anything. All there is, is that there's no AT&T badge.. soo confusing

Ill just have to cut my old sim and check before i get to norway just to be sure they havent messed it up
