My ipad2 has been having a case of screen bleed as of late. I am thinking of getting apple to replace it but I wanted to know what the criteria is for getting it replaced. Is it like an LCD with dead pixels where there has to be a certain amount of screen bleed before it's replaced...or if I just show it to them can I get a new one?

It depends on the amount of whining involved, plus the mood of the Genius... :p

I don't do whining...just pleasant nagging. I also have a favorite genius person at my local store....maybe that will help.

So far except for one "genius" it's been an easy exchange. It's a defect if it's bad.

I've seen threads on here where people got replacements for bleeding that the genius had to take into a dark room to confirm, so if your problem is severe enough that it actually shows up under normal viewing conditions I doubt you'd have a problem.

are some backlight bleeding issues so bad you can actually see it in the florescent white apple store?
