Jesus how did I miss this article? I was looking for something else around EFI and the new T2 chip online and I came across this insane read. How on earth does this happen?

https://www.wired.com/story/critical-efi-code-in-millions-of-macs-is-not-getting-apple-updates/

This article is a bit misleading and out of date.

Apple do continue to issue EFI updates for current and older Macs. High Sierra checks for EFI integrity and updates.

hi
the linked article does list a user tool to determine if your firmware is up to date and correct for your software version / hardware.
but its rather geeky to use.
is there a better, simpler tool that users can use to check this?
