Has anyone had this problem?

Twice now I have downloaded a critical update for Office and after restart it deleted my entourage emails and calendar.

The first time I didn't know what to do and couldn't restore it - I think I deleted or switched the identity by mistake - so started again and it happened again.

This time I was able to restore the database but am wondering why it is happening.

I can't find anything on the microsoft site.

You may just have to live with it. I think all in all, it shows the sloppiness of Micro$oft's programming.

Is there a way you can backup your database, before updating?

Thanks,

I now know what to do - a bit late having lost hundreds of emails and my life on my calendar!

I have Time Machine but the first time it wouldn't work, hopefully things will be ok now if it happens again.

I didn't want Office but I had too many compatibility problems with the Mac mail and Pages so had to install it.
