I closed the lid of my MacBook Pro and didn't realise I had the charger in between the screen and the keyboard. The screen has cracked on the right hand side and now I can only see two thirds of the screen; the right hand one third is greyed/blacked out and broken.

I know. I'm an idiot. I can't afford to get the screen replaced right now so I have to make use of the two thirds I do have.

I want to resize my Macbook display so that it only displays on the part of the screen I can see. I realise I can resize windows but i would like to squeeze the resolution so it only accommodates for my newly 'modified' LCD.

Is there any way to do this? Perhaps there is an app or maybe some way through Terminal?
