Can anyone recommend any software that can make a decent job of quickly searching large volumes of data, some in NTFS, some in HFS+?

Much as I like OS X, Windows software like Everything and WhereIsIt absolutely decimates Spotlight search. But the problem with them is that they will not search HFS+ drives.

Nb. I am more interested in finding files (by name) than their actual contents.

As of January 2012 there is a read only driver for Windows 7. I'm also using FileSearchEX to perform file searching as it works under non-admin accounts.

I use MacDrive Pro to access Mac OSX formatted HFS+ drive in Windows. I write a lot of data to an OSX RAID array under Windows. The performance hit is very minor.
