Hi there,

I have a large music collection (approx 13500 tracks / 140Gb) - all my own ripped music. For a few years I stopped collecting music as I started using the free version of Spotify and just streamed and tolerated the random adverts. I have recently decided I want to start collecting again and adding to my library. I do not want to use Apple Music or Spotify Premium.

I store my iTunes library and all my music files on my Dropbox folder which syncs across all my computers (Macs and Windows PC). This allows me to open the library on any of my computers without issue. I cannot however really access my music from my iPhone or iPad.

I can, through the Dropbox iOS app access my music files, but obviously I do not have access to playlists and the library is not updated with play counts and what-not. I have tried enabling Home Sharing in iTunes but the library is so large, accessing it over my WLAN is just too slow and invariably the Music app just crashes.

So I am hoping there is another system I can use and I hope someone here has had similar issues and has already tackled this.

What I would like is software/apps that:

1. Allows me to store a music library on Dropbox that will sync across my computers and allow me to open the same library anywhere and update accordingly.

2. An iOS app that would be able to access the same library and again, update as accordingly.

3. Cross platform is kind of essential. macOS, Windows and iOS.

Hoping someone out there has some suggestions! Thanks
