Hello,

I perform the new software update, Yosemite 10.10.4, successfully, but my computer was really slow afterwards. It froze completely three 3 times over a span of three days before it crashed and restarted itself, but the restart did not complete. Now everytime I try to start my computer, I get a crossed out circle during start up.

I tried to safe boot 2 times, but still received the crossed out circle. Then I went into recovery mode this morning. I opened utilities, but it only showed SuperDrive (which was grayed out), disk1 and OS X Base System. Everything was grayed out in disk 1 and OS X Base System except the option to verify Base System, which I did and everything was okay. But I couldn't test disk1 or even click on SuperDrive. Then I tried to install OS X, but when it asked to select a disk, nothing appeared. I tried to enter the internet, but my macbook froze completely again. So here I am for a second time.

The second time, I waited a few hours, and when I went into recovery mode again, my hard drive appeared the second time and I was able to verify it. But it stated "Error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup". After the verification process, I could not choose to repair it. The options were grayed out. Should I reset PRAM? I don't want to mess up my hard drive. A very similar problem happened last July and I had to pay to get some hardware replaced. Why is this happening?

I just tried it again for a third time and the disk is not there again (same as the first experience).

I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch, bought in November 2010.
