I recently got crossover games on my macbook. It works great for stand alone programs, but a few days ago i installed steam and downloaded half-life 2 on it. But now whenever I try to open steam it doesn't work. I would like to remove both steam and the all the half-life 2 files from my computer, but I don't know how! Can somebody please help me?

If you installed Steam within its own bottle you can delete that bottle, removing Steam and any other games installed through it.

1) From within CrossOver Games, go to "Configure" -> "Manage Bottles"
2) Choose the bottle on the left pane that contains Steam and all of its games. Click on the "-" sign to delete the bottle.

I deleted the bottle but the space the game took up is still missing. Also, whenever I try to launch a stand alone program (.exe to be exact) the small bouncing icon appears above the crossover games icon but only for a split second, then it disappears and the program doesn't launch.
