I conventionally was a PC user but now both at work, school, and at home have fallen in love with OSX and ordered a dual G5 that should come within a month.

that being said, i have a network in my house but want to move to a wireless setup. i just have concerns about the kind of setup to get that will work with both the powermac i'm getting and my dad's PC and my notebook PC.

any suggestions would be great.

Wirelessly networking Mac's and PC's on the same access point is seamless. Just make sure the protocols of the cards match the base station.

I suggest you go for nothing less than a wireless router that runs 802.11g, as it supports 802.11b by nature.

Apple, Linksys, Netgear, and D-Link all have venereable access points.

thanks for your help. i got everything working just fine. went with the linksys set and got the wireless G topology at 54Mbps! thanks again
