Hi all,

Is it possible to use the existing 9" CRT/analog board in a Macintosh Plus with a modern mobo? I've wanted to make a fun machine with modern parts out of a broken Mac for a while now but really want to keep the CRT rather than use a flat LCD. I've considered finding a 4:3 9" color CRT TV to potentially use but I've had no luck finding anything within reason of price and I don't particularly mind b/w.

Thanks,

Hunter

IIRC, it's been attempted by a few extremely knowledgeable folk, but the desired results are never quite achieved.

The problem seems to be the horizontal frequency cannot be increased sufficiently to display modern resolutions.

Whilst I appreciate the dilemma, it still seems the small LCD panel is still the easiest way to go (if not best looking or easiest to fit).
