I have a Dell P1130 21" CRT (Trinitron tube), and it sometimes ghosts. What I mean is usually text has some ghosting artifacts to the right. This happens on and off, and nothing is being physically moved in respect to the monitor and cable when this happens. Also, the ghosting only happens at high resolutions, such as 1600x1200 (which is what I normally run at). At lower resolutions, it never happens. Is there something wrong with the monitor, or do I need a higher quality VGA cable?

I would try different cables. Are you using an extension cable right now? I noticed this when I used a cheap extension cable for my old CRT. When I got a higher quality cable, the ghosting went away.

the EXACT same thing happened to me... don't use cheap cables... not worth the hassle :D

Thanks guys. I'm using some generic black cable. I'll pick up a better one and see how it goes.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality VGA cable?
