While on the topic of memory, my macbook pro C2D can only support 3gig. Is it best to change both 1gig sticks out to 2 2gig (4gig) even though it can only see 3? I saw somewhere that you can add a 2gig stick to your 1gig, but I have also read that the memory should be the same size for dual channel or something like that for it to operate the fastest.

Matching RAM has very little effect, so it's your choice 2x2GB or 1x1GB + 1x2GB.
