Crucial has a 8Gb ram upgrade kit for my MacBook Pro for $46... wtf how is it so cheap? is it any good, apple store has it for like $400 plus.

Apple does not manufacture RAM and charges more than you would pay with other reputable RAM providers, such as Crucial.

I'm pretty sure I have that very kit in my white MacBook, it works wonderfully.

And when comparing Apple's prices, compare with HP and Lenovo. Just saying...

Thanks guys adding it to cart and then getting the new Lion.

It's easy to add right?

In my humble opinion, Crucial makes very good products. I've got Crucial memory in my home lab box and a Crucial SSD in my MBP. The lab box has been running, more or less, for 4+ years with no hiccups.

Crucial is part of Micron, which is a reputable RAM manufacturer. I'd recommend them.
