I am going to buy a Crucial M4 256 gb new or used.
I read that performance on Mac maybe degrading due to the fact that trim is not enable and even with the hack to enable it in Lion it does not work properly.
Anyone with a crucial M4 can tell his experience?

Lion does not need the hack. It supports TRIM natively.
Snow Leopard does not support TRIM, and even with TRIM Enabler the performance may be degraded.

So, as long as you use Lion and the 2011 MacBook Pros, you'll use your SSD to the maximum potential.

People keek saying that trim is enable only for apple SSD! Is it true?

Yes. You'll need TRIM Enabler for 3rd-party SSDs. However, it'll still be using Lion's native TRIM so no performance degradation :D
