I received my new MBP 15" 2.0 early february a few days ago. Today I installed 8 GB of Ram and the Crucial M4 256 SSD, NO optibay...

I must say this thing is faster then my MBA 11" i5 now on boot up.

I get boot up times of 13 seconds and my read and rite are attached. The machine flies. Very happy :)

I am running FV2 on my other machines and this as well before the swap. I used CCC with the data cable and just cloned the M4 before putting it in. Pretty much from the CCC instructions. After installation the initial boot was long but checked the startup drive and boom 13 seconds from then on.

I went to security and seen that FV2 was off. I turned it on but I am getting this message notice "Some disk formats don’t support the recovery partition required by encryption. To use encryption, reinstall this version of Mac OS X on a reformatted disk."

I think my Recovery HD is on because I still have locate my Mac. I used the newest CCC and it told me it was cloning the Recovery HD.

Any thoughts??

Edit::: I made a Mac OSX thumbdrive and re-installed Lion from it. I guess I missed something on the CCC because at the moment my FV2 is encrypting. Problem Solved.
