Crucial Memory 8gb Kit (2009 MBP)

I found a decent price on Crucial Memory, but I am not sure if this would be compatible with my machine.

There was a guy who said this set worked in his 2011 MBP, but I am sure the MID 2009 and the 2011 are different. Any opinions?

You need 1066 MHz not 1600. This is the Crucial model: Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1066 MT/s (PC3-8500) CL7 SODIMM 204-Pin Notebook Memory Modules CT2CP51264BC1067
http://amzn.com/B001MX5YWI. I didn't look specifically, but this one may be the generic PC version. They have versions rated for Mac with the same stats that are sometimes actually cheaper.

I also have the mid-2009 model. I bought Crucial RAM at a store called Micro Center when they were running a sale. Definitely shop around to find the best price!

And in general Crucial is a good reliable brand so you can't go wrong buying it.
