Hi,

I'm looking for a 4G memory upgrade kit for my MBP. I've done a fair amount of reading (and posting) about it in the forum, and as far as I can tell people recommend going for crucial's RAM.

I've found a Crucial 2G stick with the P/N CT25664AC667 on local sale here. My question is -- is this the stick used in their 4G "Mac RAM" kit?

Thanks.

I've also asked the crucial helpdesk, and here is their reply --

Hello *,

Thank you for your enquiry.

There is no difference between memory part ref# CT25664AC667 and CT687600. They are the same product. CT25664AC667 is our internal material number as CT687600 is the external part number which is linked to your MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
Both references are compatible with your MacBook.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us. For a faster response please reply directly to this e-mail.

To check pricing or to place an order please follow the Crucial Product Search link on the left side of our Web site home page (http://www.crucial.com/uk) or call us on 0800 013 0330. All prices listed are only valid for one working day.

Question:
What is the difference between the 2G modules P/N CT25664AC667 and P/N CT687600?

In particular, will the module P/N CT25664AC667 be compatible with a Feb08 MBP (2.4GHz Penryn w/3M cache)
