Hello,

I read in the crucial m4 specs that it is backward compatible with SATA2.

Does it mean that I can install it in my late 2008 and sata2 speeds?

I'm waiting for the next update for the MBP to buy it.

But at the same time need need to speed up my macbook. The speed difference between a 7200rpm hdd and a SATA1 ssd is noticeable?

Thanks

It's backwards compatible. And the difference between a HDD and a SSD is probably one of the biggest bang for the buck speed increases you'll see in an upgrade.
