Hello All

Just thought I would let you know that Crucial in the UK are having a pre-Christmas sale today and tomorrow with 10% off ALL prices.

Just ordered RAM for my MacBook which I haven't even ordered yet!

Still not quite as good as US prices but a 2Gb kit for £28 is quite a bargain!

anyone know if you can still get quidco with this as that will be another 10% back from the VAT free price!

4GB for a macbook £85 inc delivery!

Am very tempted to buy now even tho I haven't ordered my macbook yet!

I remember paying £80 for a second hand 1GB stick for my powerbook seems only a year or two ago.

Hmmmmm it's now nearly December. Buy RAM and get macbook now or wait till Jan for MWSF and possible mini-book which is what I really really want???

xx T

Hey, Thanks to dwright and ajo. I've managed to save 20% from something that I almost purchased yesterday!

Thanks again, hope the Karma comes back to you in a bigger and better way :D

2 X 2GB for the MacBook Pro costs £85, but a single 1GB memory module for my old PowerBook costs £50. :( Oh well.

Damn! I bought it yesterday but I emailed them... here's hoping...

Daddy's Mac Pro will be happy...

...4GB on its way!

I've had my eye on 4GB (2 x 2GB) of RAM for my Mac Pro for a while now - thank-you so much for putting this online!

I was waiting for my credit card (interest free on purchases) to come through, but I decided I didn't want to miss out on the further discount. So, with quidco I ended saving 17%!

:)

From 1GB to 5GB will be a nice jump! Now, to look for the KBase article on how to install!

Cheers,

F

I ordered 4GB through QuidCo last night. Its not shown in my earnings yet but these things can sometimes take a few days. It works out at £77.40 with QuidCo discount, which is amazing value considering when I first started checking the price it was something like £180!

Now I've got the memory I just need to order the iMac! I was planning to wait for the Rev B model but its getting harder to resist now!

I didn't either, but the 10% is deducted off your final cost when you go to the checkout.

I suspect if, as the OP says, it was a two-day sale then it'll have ended. Might be worth you having a look on the off chance, though.

Yip, it's finished now, Wednesday and Thursday only.

It was showing the discounted price on the 'products' and there's no sign now.

just to let you all know that quidco did track the purchase and have given the cash back. So thats another 5.04 I got off.... pretty good saving in all.
