Sorry to pester you all but I cant search for the strand I probably need because my Mac's Safari software rarely lets me get out of the house 
Im running an older eMac with OS 10.4.11 and Safari 3.0.4 . Im using ATT for my DSL connection.
When I try to load a webpage it often defaults me to google, or some other page ive recently visited or have in my favorites. Sometimes I can get to the page I want by resetting Safari or clearing out my cache ( dunno why this helps, Im just grasping at straws )
Virus? Hardware problems? Crud? Google out to get me?
Im spending most of my time trying to 'fix' it... at the point of utter frustration.
Again, please pardon the ignorance. Is there a simple solution (besides buying a new Mac -- cant swing it in the budget for now)
