Crystal clear calling between 6 and 6 plus

i was on my moms phone talking to my brother who have 6 and 6 plus and the call quality was really good. Is there something special that causes this? When I talk to my mom from my 5s it doesn't sound as good. They have both said it is only high quality between them.

You're experiencing HD Voice (VoLTE). Fabulous isn't it. It's only on some Android devices and iPhone 6 (and Plus) or up. More and more devices will support it as time goes on.

Does the 5SE have HD voice also? My 5s has me straining to hear sometimes.

Just found out the SE is HD voice ready on Verizon. Time to upgrade, but will wait to see what happens to iPhone 6 pricing when the 7 comes out in September.
