CS4 Installation

I'm driving myself crazy trying to get CS4 Master Suite Installed on my iMac. I start the installation, it verifies the disk and starts the install process. After about 2 minutes it freezes at "Checking System Profile" and it locks up the computer, only way to get it back is to stop the task from running. Any one have any suggestions. I'm beginning to hope I didn't waste my money on the suite.

Does your hard drive have sufficient space for the installation?

I'd hope so, still have over 250gb of open hard drive space.

Does the iMac meet system requirements in terms of RAM? Do you have any peripherals plugged into the Mac? If so, as a first starting point, unplug them all except keyboard & mouse when trying to install, just to eliminate that as a potential cause.

Thanks for all the help. It was trying to open two instances of the install and they were canceling each other out. When I force quit one, it let the install finish.
