CS5 on my iMac?

Hey all,

Will CS5 (Photoshop and InDesign) run on my early '08 iMac. Its specs are:

-2.4GHz C2D
-1GB RAM
-20" Display
-ATI Radeon 2400, 128GB VRAM

So will it run?! even with the sup-par graphics card?

If it will not run CS5, what Mac would you recommend?

Upgrade RAM to 4GB to make it faster. 1GB is just not enough to run CS5 or CS4

Your iMac meets the minimum requirements; however, you'd expect to see minimal performance. Like Hellhammer said, upgrading to at least 2GB (4GB preferred) of RAM would increase your performance quite a bit. Your video card does not fit into the requirements for OpenCL or any sort of GPU-based acceleration.

Of course, if time is money and you need things to work well getting the latest iMac or Macbook Pro would yield even greater performance. Both the processor and amount of RAM is greater in addition to a newer, faster, video card that supports GPU-based acceleration.
